ACT INTENSIVE BEHAVIOR THERAPY
We provide various levels of diagnostic evaluations for children, teens, and adults. Assessments may include measures of cognitive ability (intelligence), developmental measures, expressive and receptive language, adaptive functioning, socialization and play skills, as well as behavioral excesses and deficits. Assessments are customized to the age of the individual and the purpose of the assessment.
For many years research has supported the effectiveness of early and intensive behavioral interventions for children with autism and related disorders. We strive to provide effective intensive behavioral therapy for children on the autism spectrum. These services are typically provided in the home by behavior technicians and supervised by a behavior consultant. The programs rely on principles of Applied Behavior Analysis including Discrete Trial Teaching and Verbal Behavior interventions.
ACT CONSULTATION SERVICES
We also provide consultative services for families, organizations, and groups. This includes working with families to help them develop effective behavior interventions for their son / daughter. We also work with schools and other organizations to establish behavior interventions for students or to provide additional training to staff and personnel.
